Mark Rushall appointed RYA British Sailing Team Strategist

Mark Rushall is the RYA’s British Sailing Team Strategist for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.  A highly technical and complex role which involves compiling and presenting the team intelligence on the Rio sailing waters.

Mark works closely with the sailors, the team meteorologists, and tidal experts on the venue.

Building up a comprehensive ‘call book’ is core to the teams’ performance and Mark’s pre and post race briefings are particularly valued by the sailors.  Mark works with the sailors in all squads throughout their training and races in Rio, to capture their actual experiences afloat and further the learning about Rio.

Mark will be attending the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in Rio 2016, in his role as RYA British Sailing Team Strategist, to support the sailors in their quest for medals.
